I dream of becoming a magician, a chef, a chocolatier, a fashion designer, a movie director, a DJ, a professional photographer and a stock market guru. I also want my very own candy outlet. (: My blog comprises photographs and random thoughts. I like to keep my blog happy and I'm easily inspired. It's nice knowing that people are reading, so thank you. :D

    01 January 2011

    01012011 spent at Vivo.

Honestly, it's not much of a big deal, nothing fancy except that I saw some beautiful fireworks from my balcony at 12 midnight between the transition of yesterday and today. Some teenagers were screaming Happy New Year and partying, I can hear them loud and clear.

2011 is gonna be a new year, and there are things bothering me.

The fact that I cannot get used to writing "2011" as the date and 5Q as my class makes me feel uncomfortable. Anyway, the bad thing about being in an IP school is that you don't get to meet brand new faces in your JC life. And of course, the fact that if you flunk your A levels you'll just get your Primary school certificate (if I'm not mistaken)

Also, 2011 is the start of my JC life. I've heard tales about JC life, bad bad tales. It seems as if it's tougher than University (?!) And you fail practically every subject. A bare pass is considered great (?) I don't know how the system works yet but it sounds scary alright.

Okay, enough about all the negative stuff. Today, I spent New Year at Vivo City. It's like a last minute thing. We're supposed to meet up for lunch, then I kept dragging the time cause I still wanna laze in bed (yes I'm a pig.) Then at 1pm we decided to meet at 1.30pm and head down to Vivo City.

Why Vivo City? (If you know me IRL, I hate travelling any further than Jurong Point, which is a 3minute walk from my house.)

Hee. Lunch at Burker King first. Don't mind my face I just got my fringe cut and my eyebags and dark eye rings are really hopeless yes I know.

Spot the white tie! It's mine by the way, he never buys such stuff.

Then we went to Vivo's National Geographic, which is extremely commercialised and there is nothing nationalgeographicish there.

I'm serious, they're selling like postcards, clothes (?) and random decorations?

Then we visited the Magic Hall which is located inside Giant. Saw the magician (I THOUGHT HE WAS JUST A SALES ASSISTANT OR SOMETHING, super malu. Turns out he's the boss. Cause he's like 20+ only!)

He seems famous, even performed in a concert. And he's going to Las Vegas soon to perform. (!) He's writing a magician's book as well, and he knows Liu Qian in real life. He also performed in some sort of a magician week or something, street magic, WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THAT WHY DID I MISS IIIIIT?!?!

Anyway, cheers to Singapore magicians! (Didn't take a photo with the Magician, aaah!) He's super friendly and showed us heaps of magic tricks. Name's Raymond. :D

Sam bought some magic stuff from him. Eh by the way I can perform a lot of poker card magic tricks yo. (show off a bit) If you see me, lend me a pack of cards and I'll show you. (:

    Next, Pepper Lunch!

Satin bow in midnight black. New favourite, heh. (:

Also saw a mini band performing.

Okay, so this is how I spent New Year (typed Christmas lol) Went to Candy Empire as well, photos another time. (:

P.S: This week's Fashion Friday will be a (super non professional) photoshoot which is completed within 2 minutes maximum. Samuel's the hopeless wobbly cameraman photographing me using my hopeless 5MP iPhone. :P
